Most Winter Classes will be based on our MainStage show, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Some classes will be inspired by the untold tales of our favorite Disney characters in a story called Disenchanted. Join the entire peanut gang on an exciting adventure highlighting our favorite comic strip stories and skits!  Young actors will bring these iconic characters to life through the magic of theatre-making, singing, dancing and creative storytelling.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

For more than 60 years, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang have been making childhood just a little more wonderful. Now you can bring your family to enjoy the live stage version You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown when the two-time Tony Award-winning musical comes to Berkeley Playhouse. The play brings to life some of the gang’s most memorable situations with appearances from the Kite-Eating Tree, the Little Red-Haired Girl, Lucy’s psychiatry booth, and Snoopy’s battles with the Red Baron.

Not dissuaded by fame, and with morals as high as her bouffant, Tracy uses her new star power to fix the personal and social plights affecting 1962 Baltimore. Loaded with energetic and infectious songs including “Good Morning Baltimore,” and “You Can’t Stop The Beat!”

Fiddler On The Roof

With a jubilant and masterful score including “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Tradition” and “To Life,” Fiddler on the Roof taps into themes that touch us all: family, tradition and changing social values. It’s the story of Tevye, a dairyman in a small Russian village who tries to maintain the Jewish religious customs of his ancestors while his daughters yearn to adapt to modern ways. When dangerous forces threaten the village’s traditional way of life, Tevye’s faith and love for his family give him strength to fight for his home and his people. Based on the classic stories of Sholem Aleichem, the musical won nine Tony Awards on Broadway and continues to be an audience favorite year after year.

There’s magic in the air; and our K-2 actors will fall down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, where they will join Alice, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts and many other quirky, crazy, and fun characters! Our 3-6 graders will win a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory as they explore stories and songs from the the movie and books.  We have both musical and non-musical options, just in case your young actor isn’t sure about singing and dancing. So check out our offerings and get ready for five full days of fun!
