Peet's logo When Alfred Peet opened a small coffee store on the corner of Walnut and Vine Streets in Berkeley, CA, few noticed that a revolution was brewing. But, Mr. Peet had other plans. By 1969, Peet’s Coffee & Tea had become a gathering place for coffee devotees, called Peetniks, and a magnet for other artisan food crafters.
Julias JULIA’S AT THE BERKELEY CITY CLUB is a modern American restaurant, led by Chef Alaun Grimaud and influenced by French and Spanish culinary traditions. The inspiration at Julia’s begins with the bounty of seasonal produce and artisan products available to us in the Bay Area and highlighting those products with classic and modern techniques. 
Scarlett Hepworth

Scarlett Hepworth Vocal Studio – Twenty-six years experience teaching Musical Theater, Art Song, Aria, Cabaret and Popular Standards to male and female students age 14 and over (younger students by audition). Scarlett was recently honored as a teacher in the arts by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.


Throughout the year, California Revels holds a series of community-based performances, celebrating the seasons and highlighting our professional actors in musicians in more intimate settings. Our outreach and education programs also continue year-long, providing mentoring in the performing arts for at-risk youth and holding free performances for social service organizations and schools.

Music Together classes provide a true family music experience, as siblings can attend the mixed age classes together. Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and best buddies are all invited to attend.

Aurora School - Aurora School’s mission is to nurture children’s love of learning by cultivating academic excellence, emotional intelligence and social engagement.

Bay Area Children’s Theatre - To inspire young audiences with imaginative productions, introduce children of all backgrounds to the excitement of live theatre, and create an engaging, entertaining, and educational environment in which children and their families can explore and enjoy the arts.

Berkeley Ballet Theater - Berkeley Ballet Theater’s mission is to provide rigorous classical ballet training in a diverse and nurturing environment to students of all ages and enrich the community by providing the joy of dance to everyone.

The Crowden School – The Crowden School is a day school for children in grades four through eight. We combine an intellectually engaging academic curriculum with a distinguished music program for students of strings and piano.

Oakland Youth Chorus - Our mission focuses on creating and sustaining programs of high artistic merit that are accessible to and supportive of children and youth who might otherwise not be able to experience the joy of making music with others.

Park Day School - Since 1976, Park Day School has been educating children in Oakland, California. Throughout this time, our unwavering focus has been to develop an exceptional place for learning – a place that fosters the academic, social and emotional growth of students so that they have the best possible foundation on which to build their ongoing education and their lives.


Sweet Adeline Bakery - Sweet Adeline is a neighborhood bakeshop. Everything is made here in small batches. We experiment with desserts until we find out what our customers want. Some of our ingredients are organic and local. We buy much of our fruit from farmers who sell at the Berkeley Farmer’s Market. Our dairy is Clover. Our chocolate is German, Belgian, and Californian.
