YouthStage returns this summer!
YouthStage’s Cats and 1-week Showcase Cabarets for grades rising 5th-12th
Register by February 5, 2026, to be considered before new students will be let into the program. YouthStage is growing in popularity and it is possible for sections to fill before February 5.
Summer YouthStage’s Cats
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical is a fantastical celebration of feline mischief and mystique. Winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Cats explores the hijinks and heart of one magical night when an extraordinary tribe of cats gathers for its annual ball to rejoice and decide which cat will be reborn. With hit songs like “Memory,” cat-tastic costumes and makeup, and poetic choreography, this long-running Broadway classic is now set to take the Julia Morgan stage—whiskers included.

Summer Showcase Cabarets
YouthStage actors are invited to participate in a one-week long session where they will focus on solo and small group repertoire to hone their solo performing skills. Participants will have the opportunity to select a song of their choice to develop for a cabaret style show on the Julia Morgan stage. All friends and family will be invited to the final performance. This is a great opportunity to obtain footage for their reel!
Section 1 – “Best of BPH”
Relive the best moments of Berkeley Playhouse’s 2025/2026 season! Perform songs from The Addams Family, Annie, Guys & Dolls, Once, Zombie Prom, Carrie, Into the Woods, and Cats!

Section 2 – “Teen Angst“
Let your inner rebel shine through songs about the trials of being a teen from the shows YOU love!

STEP 2: Register for Summer YouthStage
