Berkeley Playhouse holds open calls for each MainStage production every season, typically casting 4-6 months in advance of the show’s first rehearsal. Audition announcements are posted here on our website, as well as on Theatre Bay Area’s platform and various Bay Area social media groups.
Berkeley Playhouse collaborates primarily with non-union performers, and offers a limited number of AEA Single Engagement Agreement Category 2 Tier B contracts per season. Berkeley Playhouse is currently only taking submissions from performers that actively live and work in the Bay Area.
